  4. Algeria has a huge natural resources, including the hydrocarbons
  5. Algeria occupies the fifteenth place in petroleum reserve (45 billion tones petrol equivalent in proven reserves in petrol), eighteenth in production and thirteenth in exports
  6. The refining capacity of Algeria can reach 22 million tones/year
  7. Algeria is the third largest petrol manufacturer in Africa behind Nigeria and Libya; is the leading gas manufacturer (near 50% of the petroleum production in Africa)
  8. Algeria has the first African company in the energy sector. The company Sonatrach handles electricity and international gas distribution
    1. Algeria accounts for 98% of exports by volume and 70% of tax revenues
  9. The agricultural and services sectors recorded growth of 10% and 5.3% respectively
