The Tunisia-Turkey
Free Trade Agreement (FTA) entered into force in 2005.
- Liberalisation is imminent for the Republic of Turkey; the Republic of Tunisia have a transition period of nine years

Foreign trade
liberalisation is significant for the industrial products
- Much of the agricultural export products continue to be partially protected
- The Republic of Turkey has liberalised 84% of the tariff lines
- 3,194 tariff lines for which the tariffs are not eliminated mainly affect the agricultural products
- At the end of the conclusion of the Tunisia-Turkey Free Trade Agreement (FTA), the Tunisian Republic will liberalise 76% of the tariff lines (96% of the imports from the Republic of Turkey)
- A series of bilateral
safeguards are provided in the case of disturbances in
the agricultural markets

- The main exports of the Republic of Turkey and the Republic of Tunisia:
manufactured goods and agricultural products (10% of exports)
- Foreign Trade (Import, Export) between the Republic of Turkey and the Republic of Tunisia (Maghreb) represents 0.3% and 1.7% respectively of its foreign trade (Import, Export)
- The Tunisian imports twice what it exports to Turkey (223 million dollars against 90 million dollars)
