Globalization and International Organizations, Master in International Business

The module “Globalization and International Economic Organizations” (6 ECTS) is part of the following Online Programs taught by EENI Global Business School:

The student begins the Master / Doctorate in International Business, studying the subject Introduction to the Foreign Trade (1 ECTS).

The global scenario of the international business is then studied, for which the phenomenon of Globalization (2 ECTS), the trend towards the regionalization, the role of the emerging markets (BRICS) and the effects of the international financial and COVID crisis are analysed.

Next, the main international Organizations related to the global business are analyzed (3 ECTS):

  1. United Nations
    1. Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD);
    2. ITC;
    3. UNCITRAL;
    4. WIPO.
  2. WB;
  3. WTO;
  4. International Monetary Fund (IMF);
  5. Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD);

The objectives of the module “Globalization and International Economic Organizations” are the following:

  1. To learn about the nature of exporting and the difficulties that may arise;
  2. To know the Import/Export transactions, the difficulties with them and how to overcome these challenges;
  3. To understand the globalization process;
  4. To know the positive and adverse effects of Globalization;
  5. To explore the cultural, political, and environmental dimensions of Globalization;
  6. To identify the trends towards the regionalism;
  7. To learn about the trade liberalization and the formation of the World Trade Organization;
  8. To understand the various regional trade agreements and their relevance to both regional and world trade;
  9. To explore the historical development of the global trade over the last decades;
  10. To know the role of the international institutions (WTO, IMF, WB) in the globalization process.
