Southern African Customs Union (SACU): Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia, South Africa, and Eswatini

The main objective of the Module is to provide an overview of the economy of the Southern African region and the business opportunities in order to:

  1. Learn to do business in Southern Africa (South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Namibia, and Eswatini)
  2. Know the business opportunities in the Southern African region
  3. Analyze the international trade (Import, Export) and foreign direct investment (FDI) flows
  4. Understand the importance of the SADC (Southern African Development Community), SACU (Southern African Customs Union) and COMESA-EAC-SADC Tripartite Agreement
  5. Know the Free Trade Agreements related to the Southern African markets
  6. Know the Trans-African Corridors and the largest ports in the Southern African region
  7. Know the main Southern African Businesspeople
  8. Design a business plan for the Southern African markets

Module intended for all those wanting to specialize in the Southern African Markets.

There are two main economic communities in Southern Africa:
