  1. Approximately 26% of the world's Christians live in Europe
  2. Europe is the second region by the number of Christians in the World after America
  3. Catholics are the largest Christian Group in Europe (46% of the European Christians, 261 million)
  4. The second-largest Christian group is the Orthodoxy in Europe, accounting for 35% of the European Christians (200 million).
  5. The vast majority of the World's Orthodox Christians (76%) reside in Europe
  6. Protestants represent 18% (100 million)
  7. Russia has the largest absolute number of Christians in Europe (105 million). Over 70% of the Russians are Christians, mostly Orthodox Christian
  8. Russia alone accounts for about 19% of the Christians in Europe and almost 5% of the World's Christians
  9. Russia and the other nine countries with the largest number of Christians in Europe (Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, France, Ukraine, Spain, Poland, Romania, and Greece) together host 20% of Christians worldwide
